Here’s a new book drive for an Indigenous Little Free Library in MN serving the Lower Sioux Indian Community (Mdewakanton Dakota) and the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa. Please take a look at their wishlist below and let me know what you can send so I can update the tally here. Gently used books are also welcome. Aaron Huey's effort to photograph poverty in America led him to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, where the struggle of the native Lakota people — appalling, and largely ignored — compelled him to refocus. Five years of work later, his haunting photos intertwine with a shocking history lesson.
