Books for Oglala Lakota College Library

OLC LibraryWe are seeking donations of the following specific titles only for the Oglala Lakota College Library and its satellite locations.

This library is open to the public so not only will OLC students be able to check out these books, any child or adult on the reservation with a library card will be able to read them as well.

Please do not send encyclopedias, old magazines, and/or old books or textbooks to the college; they cannot utilize them. They can however, use new magazine subscriptions for readers of all ages! Please send those to the P.O. Box address.

If you donate any of the books listed below to the college, please let me know so I can mark them as donated.

Thank you very much for supporting the OLC library, the only public library on the reservation, and its patrons with book donations!

Let me know if you’d like to join the FoPRR Google Group. It’s where I communicate with donors & share behind the scenes stuff!

Aaron Huey's effort to photograph poverty in America led him to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, where the struggle of the native Lakota people — appalling, and largely ignored — compelled him to refocus. Five years of work later, his haunting photos intertwine with a shocking history lesson.
