A Book Drive for Indigenous Little Free Libraries Across the Country

Here are Indigenous Little Free Libraries across the country that serve residents on reservations and in communities serving Native American families. They are mainly located in places where the residents don’t own many books of their own so the ILFL stewards are always in need of our book donations to help replenish the Indigenous Little Free Libraries. Books with a Native American theme or by a Native American author would be wonderful but general fiction and non-fiction for both kids (infant through teens) and adults are very welcome and new/gently used copies are fine to order/send. The US Mail media rate is probably the most inexpensive way to ship them if you are sending books from home. Also feel free to order books online and use the UPS/FedEx addresses below.

Here are the addresses of the ILFLs we’ve been supporting thus far. I’ll add more locations as I get them. Thanks so much for your support and books!

Let me know if you’d like to join the FoPRR Google Group. It’s where I communicate with donors & share behind the scenes stuff!

Aaron Huey's effort to photograph poverty in America led him to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, where the struggle of the native Lakota people — appalling, and largely ignored — compelled him to refocus. Five years of work later, his haunting photos intertwine with a shocking history lesson.
