Hello Chris and friends,

Thank you so much for your very generous donation of all the fabulous, nice and pretty material and all the great sewing supplies. We have scheduled our Winter sewing classes starting on November 5th, with the Star Quilt making sessions which will take place every Thursday until Christmas, the Regalia making will be November 9th through the 12th, this class will be held by a good friend who will show the ladies and gents, (if any) how to applique so this is where the heat bond will come in, then we hope to schedule a regular dress making and shawl making class through December.

I’m terrible at keeping up on the Facebook page, but I will try to post pictures as we go through the classes.

I sure which I had the opportunity to send each and everyone of you a personal thank you letter but our budget is so limited, but I know Chris does an awesome job of notifying everyone of our appreciation, thank you so much for your continued support.

Hello Friends,

Words cannot express the gratitude, appreciation I personally have for each and everyone of you, it’s been an exhausting, but fulfilling couple of months. The last prom was held on May 1, 2015, you all have received such appreciation from many, many parents, grandparents, who otherwise would not afford to send their child to prom.

We had a very good response from teachers who brought their students to browse at the awesome collection of dresses, shoes, accessories, make up, and mens pants, shirts slacks, suits and mens shoes, ties, vest, everything, we asked that the student be present to try on the clothing, so if alterations were needed we had two ladies here to help them. Plus we could take photos of some of them.

We would NOT be able to provide any of this with out the wonderful support and work from you all and Chris thank you so much.

Woplia (Thank You)

Good Morning Chris and Friends,

We just want to say thank you very much for the Easter Supplies, eggs, candy, decorations, and prizes. We are very grateful for everything sent, our party is scheduled for Saturday April 4th, we usually host this event the school’s football and softball fields but they are under construction so we are thinking of the pow-wow grounds, or play grounds. When the event is completed we will have picture available on the Oyate Teca Project Facebook page. I realize that many may not have a page so I can send Chris a few photos if you would prefer, just let Chris know and I will follow up. Once again thank you very much for your continued support.

Aaron Huey's effort to photograph poverty in America led him to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, where the struggle of the native Lakota people — appalling, and largely ignored — compelled him to refocus. Five years of work later, his haunting photos intertwine with a shocking history lesson.
