A Thank You Letter from the Children’s Justice Center

Here is a thank you letter from the Oglala Lakota Children’s Justice Center for the supplies donation we recently completed for them!

Dear Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation,

This is sent as a “thank you” to those of you who have donated supplies to the Oglala Lakota Children’s Justice Center. We have received many items through the mail and deliveries! This is so awesome of you to do this. We have only a very small budget with which to buy supplies. Included in these donations of paper, pens, cleaning and other office supplies was a laser printer which was such a sorely needed item! We are now able to do our data and word processing! Again, as we are very busy in service delivery to the children, this is a huge help.

Also, some of you have continued to send monetary donations to help with our expenses. A very big Thank You as this is of great help. This is so much of a helping hand in getting our services carried through! You may not see the fruition of our service delivery to our children, however your monetary donations contribute greatly to the Oglala Lakota Children’s Justice Center’s ability to meet the needs of children who are in the system at no fault of their own.

Many of these children have been traumatized by sexual and physical abuse. Our service delivery to them is at times immediate; we are extensively trained to help and advocate for them. Your donations help with things they urgently need. Your contributions deeply impact the lives of the children and provides a sense of hope and encouragement that someone cares.
