Dear Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation:

Thank you, very much for your generous donation of school supplies, we are very grateful for everyone’s contribution. We are busy making school packs for the kiddies and our school supply distribution is scheduled for September 16th.

We are in direct contact with the school and we are planning to have each class come to the center throughout the day in groups (K-12) so everyone will receive a bag of school supplies.

Dear Chris and Friends:

Thank you so much for all your support for our greenhouse and garden. The garden is flourishing with a large variety of vegetables and herbs. All the plants are now in, the hoses and connectors are doing their job, and the tools are getting used.

Because we had an overwhelming donation of seeds, we were able to give to the community and many were grateful. The donated greenhouses were a great asset this year and we were able to seed early and transplant after the frost, wonderful, wonderful.

Thank you for your monetary donations for the greenhouse lights. We will be purchasing them soon, once our greenhouse is set up for the winter. Chet, our master gardener, will be helping us setting this up, we will keep you posted as to when the lights are purchased and set up.

We have already harvested the lettuce, spinach three times this year, and harvested all radishes so we planted more. Our first round of pepper and tomato plants didn’t survive, but we planted another round of plants and they seem to be growing very well. We do plan on canning and preserving this year and we will keep you updated.

Dear Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation

Thank you everyone for all the items sent, our families are very appreciative of the clothing, shoes, hats, gloves, blankets, sheets, household items, personal hygiene items, jewelry, sewing supplies etc. Because we cannot afford to send out individual thank letter on a weekly basis I have opted to send the thank you notes to Chris and she can let you all know that we are receiving them and they are going to good homes. We have received a lot of special items that we needed and are very thankful for them the camera, a new printer and office supplies which we really do appreciate and needed.

A major part of our programming is letter writing so the blank seasonal cards and envelopes really come in handy for our kids, and if we can have these items donated we can reserve our funding for better programming. Our next big events will be our Easter Party and egg hunt–we host this event on the two softball fields and the football field. We are also preparing for gardening season. Please know that we do appreciate everything that you all are sending.

Dear Chris and friend for the Pine Ridge,

Thank you very much for all the gifts, Christmas tree and decorations for our annual Christmas program and center activities. Please know that you all have made a difference for our families, we are truly blessed by such caring individuals like yourself.

This time of the year is usually difficult for some of our families who cannot afford gifts for their family or whom may have gone without. It’s unbelievable to know that there are such caring people out there who are so generous and good hearted. Thank you.
