Dear Chris and Friends:
Words cannot express our gratitude for the kindness and generosity that you have provided for us here at the center. With your donations and support we will be able to purchase a new furnace, update to central air, update our electrical panel and wiring for the canning station, repair all the ducted work, and replace our hot water heater which I didn’t even know was a problem until we noticed that the floor in our only bathroom was getting waterlogged on a daily basis. For those of you that visited this summer and noticed our bathroom floor first hand, it was an issue.
With that added to the repairs now we will have to replace the tile on the bathroom floor but thanks to everyone we can have all this work done.
We have had all the electrical work completed at a cost of $2,300. We upgraded our 100 amp panel to a 200 amp panel, replaced all the old breakers with new ones, and installed lighting in our new canning station. The electrician reused the 100 amp panel to save money and and installed the panel in the canning station so that we would be able to disconnect if we ever needed to. He installed several outlets so that we would be able to use our processors, connect our freezers, installed a range hood, installed extra venting over our cooking stove, installed security lights and six new light fixtures. It looks great and functions well; now we are ready for the upcoming gardening season!
Sod’s Mechanical will be installing all the other work, replacing the old furnace which needed to be replaced years ago. He told us that because of its condition we had been wasting propane for a very long time and that our old heating system was dangerous. We have accepted their bid of $5,900 to complete all the work. They will install a new furnace, install central air, repair the duct work, replace the hot water heater, add a condensate pump, and replace the other range hood in the kitchen indoors. They will supply all the materials at a cost of $4,271 and labor is $1,629, totaling $5,900.
It was amazing to see all the love and support you have for our center, thank you so much for your donations and we will keep you posted on our progress. We would not have the resources to cover such repairs. Chris, you are amazing, thank you so much for everything you have done to help us. I was a little hesitant about it but you did it–thank you!
We are also still receiving an amazing number of donations for our Halloween party which will be held on Wednesday, October 31st, at 5 p.m. I will try to post Facebook pictures early and we have two new programs, a skateboarding club which will meet every Tuesday and Thursday, and a ballet class which will meet on Monday and Wednesday, on top of everything else.
Thank you so much!

Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for the school supplies, they will indeed make a difference for so many families. We are planning our school supply distribution for the last two weeks of the month. We will be going to all the districts, updating our files and giving the school packs.
Also, I’d like everyone to know how much we appreciate everything that you all do for us here. We wouldn’t have the means otherwise to have such great programming. Thank you so much.
