Thank You from Lakota Children’s Justice Center

Greetings to you,

This is sent as a “Thank You” to those of you who donated items for Easter gift baskets and supplies. The children will be so grateful to receive these gifts. Also, being Easter time as Lakota we have the Spring Ceremonies to recognize the “welcoming of the Thunder beings.” The gifts will be shared amongst the children who are on our caseload. These children are in the system at no fault of their own. It is also a time that we go to see the children where they live. The gifts will be shared then and we will assessing the settings in which the children are placed and their well being.

I want to also extend gratitude to those of you who sent monetary donations to help with expenses. This is of great help and so much of a helping hand in getting our services carried through!

You may not see the fruition of our service delivery to the children, however, your monetary donations to the Oglala Lakota Children’s Justice Center assists in the needs of the children, many of whom have been traumatized by sexual and physical abuse. Our service delivery to them is at times imminent, and we are extensively trained to help and advocate for them. Your donation helps with service delivery and items they may be in need of.

Your contributions deeply impact the lives of the children. It does provide a sense of hope and encouragement that someone cares.
