Thank Yous from Oyate Teca Project 2013

Dear Chris and Friends,

The request for formal wear for the Winter Formal was grand. We received plenty of beautiful shoes, dresses and accessories. I think what really blew me away was the response for the men’s clothing; we received new suits, tuxedo, men’s shoes and bow ties and cummerbunds? I thank that’s what they are called, if not I apologize.

For our dedicated supporters, thank you so much. I hope you realize how much we appreciate your contribution to our program.

Unfortunately because of the sub zero (-20) temperatures, and lack of funding the formal was cancelled but the student council will be taking their appeal to the Superintendent to see if they can have it in January so we will be saving all the clothing until then.

If they do not have it in January then we are ready for prom in April. I was thinking about having the young men CHECK OUT the suits & shoes and return them for Prom. I WOULD NOT charge them a penny but instead have a system in place similar to renting a tux. The suits are so nice, I would like them to have more than one use.

Hello Dear Friends,

We would like to say hello and thank you for all of the heaters and blankets that have been sent. We visited and took the items to the Senior Citizens Center and they were happy to receive a winter package. The winter packages included hat, gloves, scarves, winter blanket, heater and throws.

Thank you so much for your support, we would not have been able to have such programs without the help of all of you. Thank you so much.
