Hello everyone, greetings from Indian country!

Thank you so much for your contribution to our “Dictionary Project.” We have received almost 500 dictionaries. What started out as a thought of “wishing we could give those new students dictionaries” has come true because of your interest and generosity!

We thank you for contributing to student success by providing a basic resource to our students through the OLC Library. Registration is scheduled for the week of August 13, 2012 and we are ready thanks to your actions…and that is priceless!

Thanks so much everyone, wishing all of us happy days!

Hi Chris and Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation,

We want to say THANK YOU for all you do to help our book projects at the library! The art books were very well received and filled a void of resources we had not had before.

It is wonderful to have so much support for our students and community, it is good to receive books but we also need to recognize the goodness begins in your hearts and we want to recognize that. So we extend a heartfelt Thank You for all you do!!!

Always wishing you happily ever after day after day!!!!

Aaron Huey's effort to photograph poverty in America led him to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, where the struggle of the native Lakota people — appalling, and largely ignored — compelled him to refocus. Five years of work later, his haunting photos intertwine with a shocking history lesson.
