Dear Chris and Friends of Pine Ridge,
On behalf of our organization let me say thank you very much for all the Halloween decorations, masks, candy, carnival games, prizes and all spooktacular items that you all have sent.
Our 1st Annual Halloween Carnival and Pumpkin Carving Contest was a blast, we had it on Saturday, October 23, 2010 and the kids and community showed us their support. We had 3 places for 3 different categories for the contest, Most Funniest, Most Scariest, Most Original there were kids & adults involved in the contest it was fun.
On Halloween, we had a huge turn out we serviced 325 community members young and old. It sounds outrageous but we had all the people sign in, I was actually afraid for a minute thinking that we would not have enough food but we did and most of them just came and got their food and left to get ready for trick or treating, but that was okay as long as we knew the were able to eat some thing before they left. We had a pizza party and costume contest it was great. There were 4 categories with 3 places for each, altogether we had about 50 contestants for the contest, we then gave out candy bags, and candy before the they left it was a really great turn out.
Thank you all for all your support, and generous donations, we wouldn’t be able to have our activities with out your support.

Dear Chris & Friends of Pine Ridge,
On behalf of the kids here at the Wakanyeja Okolakiciye Youth Center/Oyate Teca Project we would like to say thank you very much for the pool balls, cues and fooseballs.
They are in use and I don’t have make excuses for missing balls, color another ball, or put tape at the end of the cue, you all just made our summer program go a lot smoother. Thank you!

Chris/Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation:
Thank you for the all the gardening supplies, gloves, hoses, hand tools, seeds, etc. Because we have received a overwhelming amount of garden seeds, we opened up the distribution to the community, but kept the seeds that we are going to plant.
We are anxiously waiting for the weather to warm up so we can get started. It snowed last night 5-12-10, can you believe that, we are in the month of May and still waiting for the warm weather. We have starter plants going and the kids planted flowers to take home to their Moms for Mother’s day. We will keep you updated on the growth of the garden.
Thank you very much for all your support.
