Thank you letters from the OLC Nursing Students for rolling backpacks and other school supplies:

I would like to say think you for the supplies you have provided me and my OLC Nursing classmates with here at the college. I really appreciate your support in the form of flash drives and backpacks. I would have not been able to afford these necessary items on my own and it means a lot to me that people I never even met care enough to help me and my class mates with these materials. You will be in my prayers thank you very much.


Hello! My name is ________ and I am from Porcupine, South Dakota. I am writing to you because I wanted to Thank You for the supplies you have given to Me. I am very thankful for the supplies and I am definitely going to use them. I want to become a nurse so that I can enhance and ensure the wellness of my people. I have seen the suffering of my people here on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and now I have the opportunity to complete my Nursing degree here at the Oglala Lakota College Nursing Program so I will get my degree and continue to strive. Once again, Thank You for all of the supplies you have given Me.


Hello, my name is ________ from Pine Ridge and I am currently a nursing student at Oglala Lakota College. I am writing to you to thank you for the supplies you have furnished for our class. They are greatly appreciated and needed. I am going into the nursing field to assist and enhance the health care provided not only here but also nation wide. This degree is the first step in a long line for me. I plan on becoming a certified nurse practitioner and returning to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation to work. I plan on specializing in diabetes intervention, prevention and care. I was born and raised here in Pine Ridge. So once again, thank you for your assistance I greatly appreciate it.


Hello my name is _______. I am a Level One Nursing Student with the Oglala Lakota College Nursing Program. I am writing this letter to Thank You for the supplies you have given me. The rolling backpacks are so nice and they help me get to and from class much easier. I am so excited to start the new year and semester here at OLC. I am grateful for all the help and support from staff and individuals such as yourself. My main goal in this program is to come out as an excellent learner and have great success. I admire the help from anyone willing to teach and be able to lend a hand to anyone willing to learn. I hope to obtain my AA in Nursing here at OLC. Then I will most definitely continue my studying after I get started on my career. The journey does not end here so I am gratful for your interest in helping out future nurses. Thank You (Pilamaye).

Greeting, My name is _______, I am a memeber of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, I am also a mother of 5 children and a full-time nursing student at Oglala Lakota College. I would like to take this thank you very much for the rolling back pack, binder and highlighters. It is a very wonderful idea, I cannot express my thanks for the rolling backpack it is so wonderful, I thank you every time I use it, it is truly a big help. My children were wondering how I was going to carry all those big books.

Again I would like to thank you for the much needed supplies and backpack. I appreciate all your efforts and donations you provide for the nursing students at Oglala Lakota College.
