Dear Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation:

Thank you for donating all the math books and games to Red Shirt School. They are greatly appreciated. Our students and staff have enjoyed using them. They have helped to improve our math scores!

To Our Donors:

Thank you so much for the cribbage boards. They are greatly appreciated. We have been using them already. The students love playing, but little do they know, they are improving their math skills!!!

Thank you for donating them to us.

Sincerely,

Red Shirt School Students and Staff

Chris and Everyone,

We received the many Valentine boxes of goodies. We have been sorting and getting the items gathered for each classroom. The wonderful donations will be very helpful and it will be exciting to see the students’ faces when they get their classroom boxes. Thank you so much for all your donations and for thinking of Red Shirt. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Sincerely,

Barbara Ice
Principal
Red Shirt School

Aaron Huey's effort to photograph poverty in America led him to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, where the struggle of the native Lakota people — appalling, and largely ignored — compelled him to refocus. Five years of work later, his haunting photos intertwine with a shocking history lesson.
