A Bathroom Supplies Drive for the Yer’ ‘wo-‘ol Women’s Shelter on the Yurok Rez

 

There is a new domestic violence women’s shelter on the Yurok Reservation which will open in a few weeks.  The shelters name is Yer’ ‘wo-‘ol which means abalone house shelter and references a story about Abalone Woman. They’ve got a multiple bedroom house with a small patio, and yard for the kids and they’ll need plenty of help setting it up. I’ve got a donation drive here for kitchen supplies for the shelter; this one is for supplies for the bathrooms.

Please take a look at the wishlist below and let me know if you can donate something. Large or small, every donation will bring about the ability to provide a safe haven for many Yurok women and children who have been impacted by domestic violence and give them a fresh start.
