Dear Friends -

On behalf of everyone at the OST Partnership for Housng, Inc., I want to extend a huge thank you to all of you who helped make our Financial Literacy Training possible.

We also reached out to local businesses to cover such costs of refreshments, meeting space, etc. Everyone was so impressed with the training. Having the calculators, note pads, play money, pens, pencils, and all the other fine things gave us a truly professional appearance and I believe showed our respect for the participants. Prizes were a huge hit.

We had good attendance and punctuality was great. We even had a couple of bankers and an ex banker/business manager who came to have early-bird sessions - they were very well received by the group.

The subject matter, of course, is quite serious. We are helping reservation people to understand ways to track their money, how to budget, how to manage credit and management of assets in general. We will conduct this class on a quarterly basis, so the next one is in June. Again, thanks so much for your participation.

Sincerely,

Emma "Pinky" Clfiford

Dear Friends -

Once again we thank all of the Friends of Pine Ridge. We're really getting excited about our upcoming Financial Literacy Classes. Our goal for 2006 is to have 4 sessions with 20 participants in each class.

Local sponsors are sponsoring meals, hall rental, etc. The books will be made available for checkout at the session. There are a couple I'm going to read myself. The supplies are needed and will be used. Having all the nice items there will help make our sessions more professional, which will certainly show respect for our participants.

Thank you so much - all of you across the nation - who show such care to folks who are trying to help themselves.

Sincerely,

Emma "Pinky" Clifford

To all of the Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation:

We want to thank you all so much for your generosity. It looked like Christmas around here. We are busy sorting and admiring everything. There is so much and everything arrived in beautiful condition.

This was almost like having DOUBLE contributions because so many of the items are things people really need and will really use.

Thanks again!

Pinky and all the Staff, Board and Homeowners

Dear Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation:

Thank you all so much for helping us help ourselves. You are truly wonderful people. Please know that each and every gift you send to the Reservation is very important to us. The needs are great and we are fortunate that there are so many kind, generous people like you to help out.

We have received so many nice books and tools. Everything is being inventoried before put to use. We will have a library of self-help resources! Setting up the library is an exciting project for our two students who are working with us part time. Their involvement with the Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation project is a gift in itself from all of you.
