The Cangleska battered women's shelter on the reservation provides a safe haven to hundreds and hundreds of women each year and along with them come their children, most of whom are newborns and toddlers. The women and children oftentimes arrive with only the clothes they are wearing and the shelter is in need of clothing for these boys and girls, in size newborn to 12, appropriate for spring and summer weather. Socks, underwear and athletic shoes are always needed too!

Please check your children's closet for a gently used item of clothing--shorts, t-shirts, shirts or blouses, pants, etc. or consider purchasing something new for a child in need.

Also, if you fortunate enough to know how to sew, a few pairs of shorts or a cute summer dress in a colorful fabric, would surely put a smile on a child's face!

Please do not use Styrofoam packing material. New large size trash bags serve well as padding and are reusable.
