Saint Francis Home for Lakota ChildrenA Franciscan nun, Sister Geraldine Clifford, who is Lakota herself and grew up on Pine Ridge, runs Saint Francis Home for Lakota Children. Sister Clifford started the home in 1981 and takes in children who have been neglected and/or abused. She provides a safe haven for them in a warm, loving atmosphere. There are typically 6 to 8 children in residence at at any given time. Saint Francis Home for Lakota Children is a nonprofit organization, with 501(c)(3) tax ID status Donation suggestions:
