Sewing Groups

Kateri Circle Sewing Group

The Kateri Circle Sewing Group is a very active organization, made up of women from a wide area who meet at the Saint Agnes Catholic Church parish hall on a regular basis to sew, quilt, craft and bead. The women help each other make quilts, clothing, gifts and other items. Some of these are for their families' use, some they sell to earn money, some they donate for various church fundraisers. They also sew dance regalia.

This group includes many elders, and has gives them something to look forward to. The sewing group is also teaching young children, boys and girls, how to sew, quilt and do traditional beading. Of your sewing group donation options, this one is the most active and need of supplies.

Cangleska, Inc.

The Cangleska, Inc. battered women's shelter can use your donations of fabric, sewing and quilting supplies so the women that are in residence there can sew quilts, household items and clothing for themselves and their children. They can also use yarn and knitting or crochet needles and other needlecraft items.

Self-contained craft kits are also needed so the women can carry a craft project to any area of the shelter.
