Lend a Hand with UtilitiesCangleska, Inc. runs the only battered women's shelter on Pine Ridge Reservation. There are many mothers with children who are struggling to set up new households on their own with little or no belongings. They often struggle to pay their utilities and reach out to Cangleska for help. Many live in substandard housing that lack the proper insulation to protect them from the cold winter weather, which can drop to thirty below zero. Unfortunately there are never enough funds to help all of these mothers and children and it often means the children will be removed from the home by social services organizations due to the lack of utilities. Your donations to Cangleska will not only help these families back on their feet but will help keep the children from being separated from their mothers. Thank you so much for your support.
